People are making the nation proud through their work
ISLAMABAD: I feel elated and proud to see my countrymen making strides in various spheres of life. These people are making the nation proud through their work. But the joyous feeling doubles when one sees women coming from the middle and the lower social strata despite being marginalised and facing obstacles in their way excel in many walks of life.
Lairab Atta is one such name. She is daughter of the famous Pakistani folk singer, Attaullah Esakhelvi. The movie visual effects artist has created magic in numerous Hollywood gigs, some as big as Tom Cruise’s Mission Impossible.
Certainly, there are many others in Pakistan having potential but lacking support and encouragement from their families. It is about time that the Pakistani society encouraged its women carve and follow their own path and prove their mettle globally.
