MULTAN: Election campaigning ends on 23rd July at 12:00 midnight, and throughout the past month political parties from all over have been parading around Pakistan, asking the citizens to vote for the bat, arrow, tiger, or the book, et al. It is commonly known that the thrill and excitement that electioneering brings along is a type of feeling that one can only enjoy once in every five years. It is the time when people carry party flags to meetings and hoist them on rooftops for everyone in the area to see. The whole view is quite colourful. The candidates’ speeches and the excitement of the campaign period leave a very significant mark on those who witness it. At the same time, it sows seeds of interest in politics, elections and democracy among the young generation and makes them aware of their foremost national duty.
