Ali’s boycott should not adversely affect others who have worked in and for the film
KARACHI: The dispute between Ali Zafar and Meesha Shafi took a turn for the worse with the release of Ali Zafar’s film Teefa In Trouble. Regardless of who did what and who to side
with, the protests outside the multiplexes where the film is being screened have damaged the commercial repute of the film while causing a loss to the producers who amid all the controversy can only be held accountable for casting Ali in the film despite the allegations levelled against him by Meesha. It is not only Ali who has acted in the film, but there are others also who have appeared in the film. The latter’s careers depend on the commercial success of the film. Hence, Ali’s boycott should not adversely affect others who have worked in and for the film. Further, the law must punish the one who is proven guilty.
