Car-hailing services are becoming more and more popular in the country
ISLAMABAD: Car-hailing services are becoming more and more popular in the country as both men and women across Pakistan use the service on a daily basis. A few of such ventures are dominating the market, particularly due to the female population who has found convenience of everyday commute. Recently, a few of such services have also introduced female captain. This is an important step towards empowering women and making them a part of the mainstream economic activity.
But on the other hand, rickshaw drivers have lost out on their share of earnings. The government must provide relief to rickshaw drivers who are suffering at the hands of the private enterprises.
