Great expectations

A substantial proportion of Pakistanis vote despite having had the bitter experience of a rule by corrupt politicians

FAISALABAD: It would not be entirely wrong to say that a substantial proportion of Pakistanis vote despite having had the bitter experience of the rule by corrupt politicians. They vote even when the same faces contest the elections every time. Despite knowing full well that elections will not change any thing a majority use their right to vote.

Attempts at changing the status quo are hardly welcome among the classes that have ruled the countries for decades and still try to come back to power. Considering this situation, the system is not likely to change anytime soon.
