This year three Pakistanis won the prestigious Queen’s Young Leaders Award in the UK
KARACHI: This year three Pakistanis won the prestigious Queen’s Young Leaders Award in the UK, for service to their communities. The youth have been awarded these awards for their start-ups aimed at community building and development among the underprivileged and the marginalised of the country.
The winners will be further trained and mentored with regard to their programmes. Pakistani youth is engaging in start-ups that aim to develop and improve the living standard of the poor, however, since not every good start-up can secure a training opportunity abroad, the government should offer assistance to such programmes. The skills combined with the passion of the young minds and the government’s financial assistance will surely go a long way in speeding up the development process.
