Attack on Pakistan Navy base: Time to wake up (V)

Letter May 23, 2011
The biggest problem to our security is from within and there should be no doubt of that.

LAHORE:

It is about time that our political, security and intelligence apparatuses wake up from their state of slumber and self-denial, given the repeated security lapses that threaten our national sovereignty and dignity. There is absolutely no acceptable logic as to why our sensitive security bases and establishments are allowed to exist in close vicinity of residential areas, easily accessible to everybody.

Had the PN Mehran base been secured by maintaining and retaining a secure periphery surrounding it, as was the case in the past, this security breach could have been prevented. The biggest problem to  our security is from within and there should be no doubt of that.
