The former prime minister and his coterie have maintained a poor track record of adopting a reconciliatory approach
LAHORE: The former PML-N leadership, that is, the former prime minister and his coterie have maintained a poor track record of adopting reconciliatory approach towards numerous issues. It is due to this way of dealing with the problems that now more than any other party the PML-N is in disarray having been divided into clans and groups.
Further, the chances of a change in the approach have dimmed with the party letting its disgruntled members join other parties and contest elections as independent candidates. One such is the case of a former PML-N stalwart, Chaudhry Nisar, who despite having long connection with the PML-N, will be facing PML-N members in the constituencies he is contesting from.
Chaudhry Nisar’s standing as an independent will be unfolded only with time, however, the PML-N’s approach might result in it being more weakened.
