Pakistani women are winning big despite the odds stacked against them
LAHORE: It gives one a great sense of pride and jubilation to know that some from among Pakistani women still fight for their rights; as basics such as equal pay or equal ownership of public places. Moreover, they are not only advancing but also receiving global acclaim for their work. Kamila Shamsie winning the ‘Women’s Prize for Fiction’ for her novel Home Fire is one among many instances where Pakistani women are winning big despite the odds stacked against them.
