New internal security policy

Letter June 04, 2018
The approach can be a precursor to bring change in the attitude of the malcontent militants

FAISALABAD: The most welcoming aspect of the government’s new internal security policy is its reconciliatory approach towards individuals and groups willing to turn away from their involvement in terrorism-related activities. The government shall provide support for their rehabilitation once they are proven to be no threat to security.

Most importantly, the approach can be a precursor to bring change in the attitude of the malcontent militants, who have complaints against the state for what they claim its unjust treatment of them, for instance, the Baloch militants.
