A legislative house is supposed to resound with civilised debates and impassioned speeches discussing public policy
HUB: Through video clips on social media, I have been seeing near-routine scenes of ruckus in the outgoing Balochistan assembly. Such scenes worsened with time as rivalries increased especially towards the end of the tenure of assembly members.
A legislative house is supposed to resound with civilised debates and impassioned speeches in favour or against a public policy or viewpoint. It should not be a fish market with members hurling abuse at the slightest provocation.
Let us try to elect better representatives who show better conduct. People’s representatives should conduct themselves with dignity and poise and not act like rabble rousers.
