Stop the disbursement of the reward
KARACHI: Perhaps the government has outdone its own past performance, possibly which is why the prime minister has announced a financial reward for the federal government employees thrice the amount of their monthly remuneration. The amount will be disbursed from the federal kitty at a time when the current account deficit is on a constant rise. Had the PM stated the reason for the move, the decision would have made more sense. As the reward makes up for an estimated staggering amount of Rs25 billion, courts must take notice and stop the disbursement of the reward as it would incur a massive loss to the exchequer.
