Imran Khan’s blame game

Letter May 26, 2018
It is about time that the PTI start taking responsibility for its mistakes

LAHORE: PTI chief Imran Khan may not have learned politics in the past two decades of his political career, but he has certainly perfected the skill of blaming anything, including his own party’s failures on his political opponents. Be it his K-P government’s poor performance or his less than required attendance in parliamentary sessions, Imran Khan finds the government and its ministers responsible for his shortcomings in one way or the other.

The party chairman in his recent statement faulted parliament’s instability as the reason for his absence from most of the sessions. It is pertinent to note here that Imran Khan himself chose to not attend these sessions. However, practically, it is perhaps just a case of Imran Khan’s perpetual disinterest in the important matters discussed in parliament.

It is about time that the PTI start taking responsibility for its mistakes, as sooner than it would realise, otherwise the party shall get into a position where it would not be able to blame anyone for its own mistakes.
