Many underage girls are frequently married off to older men
KARACHI: Child marriage is a legal offence according to our laws. Yet many underage girls are frequently married off to older men. Mostly hailing from underprivileged backgrounds, these underage brides are then made to take up domestic work to provide for their families.
Both the federal and provincial governments, along with the authorities concerned, should stand united against the menace that is still prevalent in our society.
