Private schools ignoring the directives from the government have become quite a practice
RAWALPINDI: Private schools ignoring the directives from the government have become quite a practice on the part of these schools for the past few years. On numerous occasions, despite the orders from the government over matters like increase in tuition fee by private schools, the latter have followed their own rules or, say, whims. Most recent instance of which is of private schools in Rawalpindi charging students tuition fee for the months of June and July along with the annual charges. This is in violation of the orders of the Islamabad High Court that had barred schools from charging fee for June and July.
The city administration or the relevant authority must ensure that this time around the court orders are implemented and the schools are not allowed to charge the said tuition fee. Owing to the poor quality education provided in government schools, many parents have been forced to pay hefty amounts in tuition fee for private schools. Hence, they should not be required to pay any additional fee that would only add to their financial burden.
