KARACHI: As a matter of fact, libraries play an important role in spreading knowledge and education in a country. It is essential for the enhancement of moral, education and social values of a society. However, in Pakistan there is severe shortage of libraries. Even those that are present are located in areas that are not accessible to all. Absence of public libraries is unfortunate as attainment of knowledge is the fundamental right of all individuals.
The authorities concerned should set up public libraries in all localities to cater to the needs of maximum number of students and other people.
