Perhaps there should be an investigation into the quality of the research papers presented during Dr Rahman’s time.
ISLAMABAD: This is with reference to Dr Attaur Rahman’s article of May 18 titled “Advances in engineering education – I”. Actually, in Pakistan there is no concept of investigation — into anything. If I am not mistaken, the writer served as federal minister, under a military dictator, so it’s odd that he should be lecturing us on education.
As for the claim that thousands of faculty members from Pakistan presented research papers in international conferences during Dr Rahman’s time as HEC chairman, perhaps there should be an investigation into the quality of the work.
