Gulzar-e-Hijri area has been experiencing load-shedding for the past few months
KARACHI: K-Electric wrote a clarification in response to a letter published in this newspaper, stating that it has been providing updates about load-shedding to its customers. It is disappointing to see that while K-E has failed its customers in providing uninterrupted electricity — the only job it is responsible for — it has also resorted to blatantly lying to its customers.
The area of Gulzar-e-Hijri has been experiencing unscheduled load-shedding for the past few months. And no message or information was given to its residents whatsoever by the electricity-providing company. The area has a scheduled load-shedding of thrice a day of an hour duration each and on top of that it frequently experiences unscheduled load-shedding that the customers — residents — are uninformed for.
Moreover, with the month of Ramazan coming up, even though K-E has been asked to avoid load-shedding during the iftar and sahr times it would not be surprising if it does indeed does the opposite.
Last year too, not only our area but other locality in Karachi too experienced load-shedding during the said Ramazan timings.
