These accidents are not the first ever to happen in the region where digging land mines is a common practice
QUETTA: The coal mine collapse incidents’ during the past weekend have led to deaths of 23 workers and by extension deaths of breadwinners of their families, who were perhaps already so poor that their members had to take up jobs with hazardous work conditions. These accidents are not the first ever to happen in the region where digging land mines is a common practice for mineral extraction purposes. It is certainly not the last to happen too, since the authorities even this time around would settle the matter by providing a nominal monetary compensation to the families of the deceased.
