Programmes like the Saaf Dehat are important to the development of communities and their infrastructure
FAISALABAD: The ban on new recruitments and funding for government projects by the Election Commission of Pakistan has adversely affected the Saaf Dehat programme of the Punjab government. The programme aims to develop sanitation and waste management mechanism in the villages across the province. Although due to funding being put to halt the work done as of now will eventually become useless and a mere waste of resources with incomplete projects awaiting the approval for the release of funds. Programmes like the Saaf Dehat are important to the development of communities and their infrastructure. Hence, both the ECP and the Punjab government should look into the matter and ensure that the project is not left incomplete.
