Law and order

State has failed to take charge of the law and order, particularly in areas bordering Iran, Afghanistan and India

QUETTA: Christians, Hazaras and now labourers have been targeted in the most recent attack in Quetta where unidentified men killed six workers who were working on setting up a tower by a cellular service company. The situation despite the tall claims for the improvement of the security situation and law and order in the northwestern areas is only deteriorating by the day. Who should be held responsible for these regions, which have remained in the control of parties other than the state itself.

From missing persons to extra-judicial killings and ethnic targeting of the minority groups, the state has failed to take charge of the law and order, particularly in areas bordering Iran, Afghanistan and India.
