The JUI too has announced its public meetings in K-P province
PESHAWAR: With the PTI’s rally in Lahore on April 29th, the pre-poll rally season has officially begun. The JUI too has announced its public meetings in K-P province. Rallies for long have been a strong expression of public support for political parties in Pakistan, to the extent that a party’s performance in polls is foreseen on the basis of the numbers that attend rallies and public meetings.
However, this does not give a true picture always, as many still remember that prior to the 2013 polls the PTI held several such public meetings, and many came to the conclusion that the party will form the next government. This time around too the situation is no different. Considering that not long ago the PML-N was one among the biggest political parties of the country and not a fragmented, divided political grouping further tarnished by poor governance record and judicial verdicts disqualifying the 'best' of its members one after the other. There is many a slip between the cup and the lip.
