KARACHI: Lately, the civilian leadership has been making tall claims over their efforts to restore peace in the terrorism-hit regions of the country. The overall situation might have improved, but it has certainly not given any respite to the minorities or the politically marginalised groups of these areas. Last month, members of the Christian community were targeted in two different incidents, and more recently two Hazaras were killed.
These claims will remain baseless and hollow until the situation for the vulnerable, minority groups, who are targeted on ethnic grounds, improves.
