Letter April 27, 2018
It is a joyous and proud moment for Pakistan to have won several medals in the Commonwealth Games

KARACHI: It is a joyous and proud moment for Pakistan to have won several medals in the Commonwealth Games this year. Pakistani wrestler Mohammad Inam secured the first gold medal for the country. The second medal was brought home by Tayyab Raza who clinched a bronze medal by finishing third in the 125kg category. Wrestler M Bilal is the third to win a medal in the games as he took the bronze medal in the 57kg free style event. Weightlifter Noor Dastagir Butt and Taha Talib won bronze medals in +105kg weightlifting competition and in the men’s 62kg weightlifting competition, respectively.

However, Pakistan hockey team’s performance remained disappointing as it finished seventh. Hopefully, the management of the national hockey team will work to improve the team’s performance.
