KARACHI: The provincial government of Sindh at last and at the nearing end of its tenure has announced an extensive agriculture policy and few other incentives and initiatives for the progress of youth in the province. Commendably, the agriculture policy has a vast and broad set of measures to enhance and increase the agriculture produce in the country. Sindh contributes 23 per cent of the total national value-added agriculture.
However, with announcement of the policy weeks before the dissolution of the assemblies, it is least likely that the research and measures decided on by the current government will be carried forward by the next. It will likely be carried forward only if the PPP forms the government in Sindh once again.
