Making Pakistan proud

Letter April 17, 2018
Would like to congratulate Mohammed Bilal for winning bronze medal at the Commonwealth Games 2018

TURBAT: I would like to congratulate Mohammed Bilal for winning a bronze medal at the Commonwealth Games 2018, held in Australia. According to a report in this daily, Gujranwala’s Mohammad Bilal became the third Pakistani athlete to win a bronze medal at the Commonwealth Games after 18-year-old Talha Talib and 20-year-old Noor Dastagir — also hailing from Gujranwala — earned laurels in the weightlifting competition category of the games. Being a Pakistani, I am proud of the recognition they have brought to the country and for winning global honours for the entire nation. Such performances and victories are an inspiration and motivation for the youth of our country to participate in sports.
