All Pakistanis should agree on the fact that the Taliban are the bad guys and that they must be crushed.
LONDON: This is with reference to Yunas Samad’s article of May 14 titled “Was it only an intelligence failure?”
First, the people of Pakistan have to be convinced that their fellow citizens are dying at the hands of the Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan. Once that has been established, they have to be told that the militants are not foreign agents or working for the CIA, RAW or Mossad. The problem is that these debates continue, even as hundreds of innocent Pakistanis die at the hands of the militants.
At the very least, all Pakistanis should agree on the fact that the Taliban are the bad guys and that they must be crushed so that we can go about living our lives in peace and security.
