Frequent load-shedding

Letter April 14, 2018
We must get rid of this kind of load-shedding that almost paralyses our normal life activities

It has now become an everyday affair in our town that people have to live in complete darkness for long hours in the absence of electricity.

In the pitch darkness, we, the students, suffer a lot in relation to our studies as we’re unable to get any work done without electricity. Children also suffer in many ways. Miscreants become more active, taking advantage of the darkness at night and hence, it becomes risky for people to walk the streets at night.

The curse of load-shedding has now become like a disease that damages the normal life of people in every possible way. If it was an occasional situation, no one would be bothered about it but it has now become a regular occurrence, which proves the negligence of our electricity providers.

We must get rid of this kind of load-shedding that almost paralyses our normal life activities, especially after dusk. All of us must be united to do something about it. Also the federal and provincial government should take concrete efforts to ensure proper supply of electricity to everyone in Karachi suffering from load-shedding.
