Increase in the hours of load-shedding gravely affects not just business activities but also education
KARACHI: Recently, K-Electric switched off the electricity in my area without giving any prior announcement or without announcing any schedule. This sudden increase in the hours of load-shedding gravely affects not just business activities but also education. Students are disturbed due to this unannounced load-shedding, especially because matriculation exams are being conducted and within a few days the intermediate exams would also be held.
Moreover, businesses such as eateries located at different food streets of Karachi are not earning full profits due to the absence of customers owing to the shortage of electricity. On the one hand, the metropolitan city of Karachi is considered to be the economic hub of Pakistan but, on the other, its citizens are facing immense problems owing to frequent and prolonged load-shedding.
