The demands were uploaded by TLP
KARACHI: The temporarily settled dispute over the implementation of the demands and agreement between the Tehreek Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) and the government has resurfaced again, as at the end of its deadline the religio-political group has already staged a sit-in in Lahore. The current situation is the result of incompetence and failure on the part of the government in dealing with a situation that it faced not quite so long ago.
The demands, although never fully accepted by the Punjab government, were put forward by the TLP as a result of an agreement reportedly brokered by the military leadership. Taking a lesson from the past, it is important that the government devises a way out of the situation immediately.
