Measles outbreak in Sindh

Letter April 03, 2018
Lack of affordable and appropriate medical facilities is certainly one factor

KARACHI: With rapid increase in the number of reported measles cases in Sindh, the disease has become an epidemic in the province. Due to a soaring rise in the temperature across southern parts of Sindh, a significant number of children have reportedly died. It is also believed that actual number of deaths are much higher and has not been released by the provincial health department.

Lack of affordable and appropriate medical facilities is certainly one factor that the government should be held accountable for, as it has also added to the problems of the people of the affected areas.
