Intra-party issues have been mentioned as reasons for the party losing the position of the Senate chairman
KARACHI: In the past few months, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s row with the judiciary has certainly left its impact on a lot of political events. Had the confrontation been avoided, it would have had a favourable impact on the party.
Regardless of its victories in the recent by-polls, corruption charges, indictment of ministers over contempt of court charges and most importantly the party’s internal issue have started casting a shadow over the already much clouded fate of the party.
More recently, some intra-party issues have been mentioned as reasons for the party losing the position of the Senate chairman. Considering the number of times the party has suffered a loss for the same reason, it is about time that its top leadership mended their relations with one another within the party.
