Fatal human error

Letter March 16, 2018
The provincial government and its health department are equally to blame

HYDERABAD: The investigation into the deaths of three infants in Benazirabad district of Sindh has revealed that the deaths were caused by human error. The provincial health secretary also has corroborated it. He has blamed all health workers of the district for not following the appropriate vaccination procedure. This shows buck passing on the part of the provincial health secretary because it is the responsibility of the health department to ensure that workers assigned to do the job are well trained to perform the task. So as a matter of fact the provincial government and its health department are equally to blame.
