KARACHI: The recent decision by the Pakistan Peoples Party to nominate Senator Sherry Rehman for the position of the leader of opposition in the Senate may come as a surprise to many. Especially, considering that Rehman despite devoting long years of her life to the party has never before been considered for any such position. Nevertheless, it is indeed a sound decision.
Ms Rehman’s credentials not only as an astute politician but also as a journalist of repute makes her fit for the job. Her insight into the political scenario of the country will make her a great opposition leader.
