PESHAWAR: The release of the 25 persons initially convicted in Mashal Khan case has raised questions about the efforts of the provincial government of K-P which was also a party to the case. The convicts have been released on account of being in prison for the past 10 months whereas their appeals against the conviction in the court are yet to be heard.
For reasons and complex legal procedures best known to the parties to the case, the release has not been seen in a welcoming light.
