it is important for the two countries to have some contact through art and film
KARACHI: With the exception of few, the film fraternity of India has never been accommodating towards Pakistani artists working in their movies. So, the recent ban placed on Pakistani artists from working in Bollywood doesn’t come as a surprise. However, one can’t deny the fact that cultural exchange through art is important to minimise the impact of no dialogue currently taking place at the diplomatic level between India and Pakistan.
As a result, it is important for the two countries to have some contact through art and film to avert any worsening situation between the two estranged neighbours. Hence, the relevant authorities in both the countries should reconsider their decision.
