These penalties and fine will help rid our cricket team of corrupt practices
TURBAT: Recently a news report disclosed that the right-handed batsman Shahzaib Hasan has been barred from playing international cricket for a year and was also slapped a Rs1 million fine by the Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) Anti-Corruption Tribunal. The 27-year-old opener, who has represented Pakistan in three ODI and 10 T20I matches, and was part of Karachi Kings last year in the Pakistan Super League, has become the fifth player to be suspended after a spot-fixing probe was conducted. Being a fan of the Pakistan cricket team, I really praise the action taken by the PCB as it will set a precedent and discourage young cricketers from indulging in such activities. These penalties and fine will help rid our cricket team of corrupt practices.
