FAISALABAD: Apparently, the political arrangement between the PTI and the JUI-Samiul Haq on forming a coalition has started to yield results in the form of support by the provincial government for the latter’s seminary Darul Uloom Haqqania in Akora Khattak.
Previously, the K-P government announced a monthly stipend for clerics across the province. While support for social welfare initiatives cannot be questioned, it is equally important that they are not politically motivated and are not for a particular political party or group only. Further, it should not put other development projects under budgetary constraints as the K-P government has been spending relatively more on education and improvement of law and order in the province and focusing on other development projects as well.
