I think we should scrap the Federal Board of Revenue.
ISLAMABAD: This is with reference to your report of May 6 titled “Agriculturalists block imposition of farm tax: FBR”. Given its abject failure in collecting taxes, in a country with Pakistan’s population, I think we should scrap the Federal Board of Revenue and tell domestic banks to collect taxes on incomes and properties. Everyone who is employed has a bank account and asking banks to collect taxes on incomes would cut back on tax evasion.
