No sign of Rao Anwar

Letter February 17, 2018
Same bench has now directed the law-enforcement agencies to cooperate with the Sindh police

HYDERABAD: Even after extensions of the deadline for arresting former SSP Malir Rao Anwar and the issuance of protective bail, the police officer still remains at large and has not presented himself in the court. On Friday, the court conducted hearing of the case and despite the court’s assurance of assistance and protection, the SSP did not turn up at the hearing.

The same bench has now directed the law-enforcement agencies to cooperate with the Sindh police. However, factually, it is less than possible that while being still in the country, the whereabouts of the police official have not been tracked down, assuming that no political group is protecting him.
