A development package announced by the federal government for Karachi has still not been awarded
KARACHI: A development package announced by the federal government for Karachi has still not been awarded to the local authorities. Further, it has been alleged that the package was announced as a reward for the support of the MQM-P for Shahid Khaqan Abbasi in his election as the prime minister. As either of the possibilities is not surprising, the federal government should release the amount at the earliest so that the provincial capital can benefit from it before the change of the government, both local and federal.
