KARACHI: The US administration has just released an official, formerly classified, memo prepared by the House Intelligence Committee, headed by Devin Nunes. The memo details attempts of the US Intelligence Establishment — the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Department of Justice (DoJ) — with the help of the Democratic National Committee (DNC), to subvert the democratic process in the US.
According to the memo, the DNC working for the election of Hillary Clinton financed (paid $160,000) a former British Intelligence officer — Christopher Steele — to prepare a false report against then candidate Trump.
The report found its way to the FBI, where it was used by senior officials to obtain permission from a judge under the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA), allowing secret surveillance of a Trump adviser. FBI Deputy Director Mccabe testified that no FISA application would have been sought, without the “salacious and unverified” Steele dossier.
During the same time, the DNC also paid the wife of a senior DoJ official, Bruce Ohr, involved in allowing the surveillance of the Trump adviser, to target Trump and prevent his election. In addition, FBI officials (Pete Strzok and Lisa Page) were caught conspiring to prevent the election of Trump at any cost.
This is a truly historic document as it highlights the murky world of US politics hidden from the common people, where a powerful few tried to sabotage the democratic system to achieve their own objectives.
For the first time in recent history, such attempt has come to public knowledge. It sheds light on how an entire scheme was plotted by the DNC, to beat their opponent through non-democratic means.
In the past, Hillary Clinton was successful in sabotaging the campaign of Bernie Sanders, as portrayed by former DNC chair Donna Brazile in her book Hacks. However, she failed to achieve the same objective at the national level.
This will shatter the myth created by the mainstream media about US politics/institutions and provide further evidence of the existence of the ‘Deep State’ as pointed out in Mike Lofgren’s bestseller The Fall of the Constitution and Rise of a Shadow Government.
