Tweets are reflective of policies

It is ironical to see how the Pakistani premier discarded the allegations

KARACHI: It is ironical to see how the Pakistani premier discarded the allegations and the possible policy changes put forward by US President Donald Trump from time to time, stating that the statements are his own and do not represent the official policy of the US in a recent conference. Possibly Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi fails to understand that the statements although given by the US president via Twitter and in an unofficial manner are still a reflection of his own ideas that he is likely to put into implementation one way or the other. Therefore, if Trump announces aid cuts or accuses Pakistan of (allegedly) supporting terrorist groups, it implies that the country’s policy towards Pakistan will now be amended and implemented along the same lines.

In fact, the statements given by Pakistan’s premier in this regard are rather ignorant and simultaneously speak of his lack of acumen in responding to the US in an equally befitting manner.
