The current situation reflects the poor efforts the present government has made in the education sector
HYDERABAD: According to a news report, more than 5,000 schools have remained closed since the year 2012 in Sindh. The number of students in Sindh’s government schools has also significantly dropped, although the number of teachers in schools has increased. Many of the school buildings are in deplorable state and facilities are also meagre. Previously, the issue of ghost schools and teachers had already tainted the reputation of the provincial education department.
Now the current situation reflects the poor efforts the present government has made in the education sector. Sindh clearly lags far behind in terms of development and reform compared to Punjab and K-P.
