FAISALABAD: Several days ago, PTI chairman Imran Khan assured PAT of his party’s support in the latter’s protest drive against the Punjab government over the Model Town incident, demanding resignations of the law minister and the chief minister. Now, the party’s former general secretary, Jehangir Tareen, also has extended support to the disgruntled Pir Sialvi who was previously allied with the PML-N. Although Tareen says that religion is the prime reason for his support to Sialvi and his group, the possibility of political animosity against the PML-N cannot be ruled out.
