Lahore Music Meet

Music lovers turned up in great numbers to attend the event

LAHORE: On 7th January the fourth edition of the two-day festival Lahore Music Meet concluded. The Alhamra Arts Council remained crowded over the weekend as music lovers turned up in great numbers to attend the event. Eclectic performances and talks covering social issues such as gender equality, prejudices and gender roles were the highlights of the event.

The event also included performances not only from lead singers in the country but also some lesser known ones such as the underground bands, giving them a platform to showcase their talent to hundreds of people. The most surprising aspect of the show, however, are its organisers, who happen to be two young girls hailing from Lahore. Having successfully managed to put up a two-day musical extravaganza for the culturally vibrant Lahoris, they are surely playing a pivotal role by providing emerging local talent a platform to showcase their talent.
