The Punjab government must issue immediate orders for the removal of the vaccine from the registered list
RAWALPINDI: The Punjab Young Pharmacists Association and the Pakistan Drug Lawyers Forum have claimed that a dengue vaccine has been registered in Pakistan despite a ban having been imposed on the vaccine by the World Health Organisation, following severe reactions on people who were given the same vaccine in the Philippines. However, this is not the first time a drug that could be dangerous if consumed had been registered. Previously approximately 100 people died after consuming a substandard medicine issued in public sector hospitals in Punjab. The Punjab government must issue immediate orders for the removal of the vaccine from the registered list and ensure that in no way it is supplied in the market.
