K-P Chief Minister Pervaiz Khattak wants to see the plan implemented on an urgent basis
PESHAWAR: The K-P government has approved a plan to award Rs10,000 monthly remuneration to prayer leaders across the province who lead prayer congregations in the mosques. The proposal will cost Rs3 billion approximately to the government, annually. The objectives to be sought through the plan are possibly known to the provincial government only, however, according to sources, K-P Chief Minister Pervaiz Khattak wants to see the plan implemented on an urgent basis.
As the plan is likely to lead to an increase in the number of prayer leaders in the province, it is important that the CM shows the same urgency for other pending plans and proposals as well, particularly those pertaining to the law and order situation and education reforms in the province.
