Hats off to Jemima for her unconditional support
MUZAFFARABAD, AJK: Pakistanis have witnessed all the episodes of Imran Khan’s marital life. The first to a convert to Islam received flak and was labelled a Jewish conspiracy. Khan’s political career carried with it the same label for long. After the divorce between Khan and his wife who is mother to his two sons, Jemima has publicly supported her former husband throughout. The two are still on cordial terms with mutual support and respect for each other. A very private and personal chapter of the former cricketer’s life has been cashed in on by his political opponents time and again. Even now, Khan’s first marriage continues to earn him the title of a Jewish agent.
Recently, Imran Khan was acquitted of not being guilty by the Supreme Court on a recent petition filed by PML-N’s Hanif Abbasi. The decision has increased the credibility of the party and its head as an honest leader. It is indeed one of the biggest milestones for the PTI which will unfold its impact in the times to come. This victory over corruption charges, right away separates Khan from the corrupted lot.
As Sheikh Rasheed said, “After God, it is only Jemima who has really made this happen.” Despite being the former wife of Imran Khan, the provision of required data and dedication to the cause speaks of her loyalty. The reasons for Jemima’s support might be best known to the former couple, yet her effort has bought victory not only for her former spouse but also a hope for Pakistanis to see Imran Khan as the next prime minister of Pakistan. Hats off to Jemima for her unconditional support.
