Infrastructure, educational initiatives, environmental preservation account for the standard of living of a populace
LAHORE: Peoples Party Chairman Billawal Bhutto Zardari, while speaking at a public meeting on December 24th, said that his party and its provincial government have excelled in the domain of public health. Comparing his party’s performance to that of the Punjab government’s Metro Bus Service and to the K-P government’s tree plantation drive, he claimed his party has done much better than other political parties in serving the common people. Factually, during the past eight years of the PPP rule in Sindh a high number of deaths have been reported due to lack of access to health facilities in the province.
Further, better infrastructure, educational facilities alongside environmental preservation equally account for development and better standard of living of a populace. Considering a high number of corruption cases against PPP members and the worst of literacy and development rates, Bilawal’s tall claims sound hollow.
